Florent, photographer behind FloTography

Hi, I’m Florent, the photographer behind FloTography.

After nearly 20 years in hospitality, working in fast-paced, high-standard environments, I developed a sharp eye for detail, timing and anticipation. Those skills naturally shaped the way I approach photography today.I'm now a photographer based in Worcester, specialising in what I know and love: events, dogs and sport. My style is natural and storytelling-focused. I don't over-direct or force moments. Instead, I observe, anticipate and capture things as they unfold. What drives me is simple: creating images that feel real.Photos that bring you back to that exact moment, not just how it looked, but how it felt.

From Hospitality to Photography

I built a successful career in hospitality over nearly 20 years, working my way through Michelin-starred restaurants and high-end hotel bars, from the French Riviera to England. During that time, I also co-founded an events company while managing an Italian restaurant.
Working in those environments taught me to stay calm under pressure, read what is happening around me, anticipate what might happen next and pay attention to the smallest details. Today, those same skills play a huge part in the way I photograph events, weddings and other occasions.

Photography Has Always Been There

Photography has always been there in the background. My parents always had a camera at hand, and my uncle, a professional photographer and former paparazzi, played a part in shaping my eye and sharing his knowledge. Over time, photography became more than an interest and eventually grew into FloTography.
Now, I combine my love for people, animals, sport and real moments through photography.

A Life Around Sport

Growing up in a very sporty family, being active was simply part of our lifestyle. My dad was a football player and still runs half marathons, while my mum was into gymnastics and is still rock climbing. Naturally, I've always been active too, playing academy football alongside gymnastics, climbing, squash, and recently Hyrox. That experience has given me an understanding of movement, competition and the moments that make sport exciting, something I now bring into my sports photography.

my Love for Dogs

Dogs have always been part of my life, even before I had any of my own. My grandparents lived on a vineyard in the South of France, where they had the space and the heart to rescue dogs and give them a better life.
During my years working in hospitality, I travelled a lot and worked long hours, so having one of my own never felt fair. That changed when I met my wife, who already had dogs and introduced me to the world of dog agility.
I'm now the very happy dog dad of two miniature poodles, Monaco and Casino (I haven't forgotten where I come from).
Casino compete in agility for Team England and Team GB. I now spend a lot of time around dogs and I have learned about reading dogs, understanding their behaviour and recognising when they are comfortable, excited, unsure or simply need a little space. That experience has naturally shaped the way I approach canine photography too, capturing their personality as they really are.
